Ballad scene

Is there a ballad scene at all anywhere in Dublin?
    Is it dead altogether?

    I'm mad into the ballads.
Have been in a couple of amateur folk bands over the years and have done some one man gigs etc.
But I really wish there was somewhere to turn up where a group of people sing all the old ballads and everyone joins in.
Anyone know of anywhere in Dublin for this?
