Looking for websites that promotes paintings etc.

    Does anyone know good websites beside deviantart that kind promotes artwork? I do painting myself and was hoping to sell some of my work but i know deviantart can do that but its not really selling based is it :/

    There is a website called thestreetgallery.com which sells online. Worth a look, depending on the type of work you do.

    artchezmoi.com might be more what you are looking for, but you have to apply to be included. No harm to send them an email.

    People aso sell paintings on ebay (there is a category for artists) and on etsy too.

    Im in a similar situation to yourself. I do photography and I am starting to sell my work on http://www.galleryireland.ie
    There is a lot of paintings and printwork up there also.

    Best thing is there is five free uploads to start so there is no initial cost involved. I also know someone who has sold their work on it already and the site is brand new!

    Thats my recommendation anyway.

    Yeah I had a look at GalleryIreland it looks good but do you know how long the free uploads? Or how much it would cost to upload artwork after the 5?

    I emailed the owner for ya ;)
    Free uploads last for 4 months on the site! Anything after 5 uploads is 4euro each and will also last 4 months.
    Pretty good deal I think seeing as they charge no commission...
    Other option is to start your own blog or site, but that will take lots of time and perseverance!

    @Stripey Cat thanks for your information but I think I was looking for something that is not so expensive in terms what I hope to pay :)
