Megane GT Line coupe - warranty & paint protection extras advice

Hi,

Looking at buying a 2011 Renault GT line coupe, price seems good and I'm satisfied with the trade in I've been offered. Anyone have any experience or views on these I'd be happy to hear them,

If I go ahead and wrap up the deal this week there's the option of extending the warranty. There's 2 and a half years left on the existing warranty and this could add another 2. Is that worth it? Must get more details on whether it's unlimited mileage etc. and a final price. how much should i be willing to pay for this? would be looking to hold onto the car for 3 years ish.

Also they're suggesting (not pushing to hard) another 350 quid on Diamondbrite paint protection treatment on the exterior and treating the interior - is this stuff any good?

Any advice welcome, first time buying a car as a grown up (and first time doing a trade in) so any comments welcome.,

Regarding the paint protection, I'd prefer to tell the dealer not to touch the bodywork and give it to a detailer and let them give it a detail. Would probably cost around 350, maybe a little more but much better results!

Cheers Benny.still having a look round but am intrigued by the pricing so any ideas from anyone are welcome.

This model is similar to the one I'm looking at (same spec, bhp, year) http://www.carzone.ie/search/Renault/Megane/III-Iris/201205206792383/advert?channel=CARS however I'm being quoted around 18500 euro rather than 23k sound good?

however there's a 2012 model for 3k less http://www.carzone.ie/search/Renault/Megane/Coupe-Ir/201205206840953/advert?channel=CARS - only downside is it doesnt have the 6 Speed gearbox and is 90 rather than the other's 110.

Can anyone explain the price differential? is an 6th gear and 20bhp worth going a year older? can i use this to my haggling advantage? any ideas welcome.
