    Hi,

I need to replace the cable from my Sky Box to the wall outlet, it is male both ends but the connector that goes into the wall is just a push in while the connector to the Sky Box is screw in.
Been searching the net and cannot find what I am looking for. Perhaps if I knew what it was called might help :)

    Thanks
    John

Thats not a great setup. It should really be f connector all the way (Screw in as you put it). The push in 75ohm aerial plug is not really suitable for satellite.

    Snaps,

Unfortunately that is all there is on the wall. The cable I am using I made up myself and when my mobile rings (or the neighbours :( ) the reception is affected. I was told if I bought a cable that had molded connectors this would be eliminated.

Do like I did, remove the wall plate, take out the 'guts' of it and run a cable straight through the hole in the centre of the wall plate and put it back on the wall.If the existing cable isn't long enough, get a short piece with f-connectors and a joiner to join them together with the other end connected to your receiver.

The wall plate should look something like this once you remove the insides of it.

    Here's what you need.

Thanks Zerks, I'll try the new cable first. If that doesn't cure the problem I'll attack the wall plate
