    Hi

I have just registered for F9 to sit in June 2012 and now am just realising that this is a follow on to f5.

Is it essential I sit f5 before hand?
Will it be too difficult now without having done f5 previously.
    Any advice appreciated :)

It's not a follow on from F5 it only assumes F2 knowledge.

    F9 isn't a follow on from F5.
I would do F5 first because there is less link with the P levels than F9 and it gives a good introduction to number crunching and some other little soft tips & techniques for the rest of your exams.
