    http://www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/3326-Lockdown-in-April-is-coming-to-Nashville-Tickets-On-Sale-Friday
“Lockdown 2012” is promised to be the most brutal pay-per-view event of the year featuring every match contested inside a 15-foot reinforced steel cage, making it the only all-steel cage pay-per-view event in professional wrestling. The TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line and two teams will compete in a “Lethal Lockdown” match for an unforgettable night of action. TNA Wrestling began in Nashville in the summer of 2002 and this June marks the tenth year anniversary. Fans can celebrate 10 years of body-slams with TNA’s weekly flagship show, IMPACT WRESTLING airing every Thursday night on Spike.

The reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Roode, leads the invasion of IMPACT WRESTLING stars including Hulk Hogan and “The Icon” Sting, along with Tennessee native “Cowboy” James Storm, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam, the lovely and lethal Knockouts and more.

“TNA Entertainment couldn’t be more pleased to announce one of our most exciting events of the year “Lockdown” will be live from Nashville on April 15th. To be able to offer the fans of our hometown such a powerful night of explosive action is thrilling,” said TNA President Dixie Carter. “We are going to celebrate 10 years in Nashville with one of our biggest pay-per-view events to date.”

Bit early for this isn't it, still 2 months away and still got Victory Road to come in March.

That being said, by revealing the main event to Lockdown, they have already told us that Roode is going to retain his title next month so how can they expect anyone to give a damn about buying VR now?

Roode vs. Sting may not even be a title match.

Did Morgan turn on another partner? Last I seen they were with each other.

Also, can we get a draw for Lethal Lockdown and have them both leave? :D

Ha, said the same thing. If Team Eric wins could Garret at least shave his dumb ass sideburns

Just got 'round to actually watching the Before the Bell and as usual it's quite wonderful. Thankfully TNA are actually airing bits of it because it's great stuff.

I wish both Bischoffs were leaving

Pretty good card for this ppv

Am I the only one thinking that the result in the Main Event last nite was exactly like the result of Bound for Glory's Main Event. I was really disappointed when I read it anyway.

that was easily the deadest crowd i can remember for a live ppv, you have to feel sorry for some of the guys and girls as the crowd barely reacted to anything bar jeff hardy and angle

Is the PPV worth watching? or was just the crowd shiiite?

crowd kills everything, just watch the hardy/angle and storm/roode, everything else i wouldn't bother, i did like the hogan/flair in-ring confrontation midway thru as it kind of woke up the crowd a bit, but it seemed alot of the iwc s**t on it

Will watch to night. Going by the reaction online the show ranges from decent to very good. But the crowd has been likened from anything from a library to a mogue bar for Jeff Hardy, Angle and the like.

Yeah I agree with the above. Really poor crowd for nearly all of the matches, aside from the Angle/Hardy match. Austin Aries seemed to be well over though.

Didn't like how they started with Lethal Lockdown either.

The promo build for the main event was great, I like how they are a little edgier than the WWE product too, at least they're trying I suppose.

The twitter stuff was awful in this too, much worse than when WWE do it.

Yep :( really thought Storm would win also but it does keep their feud alive which is a good thing and kudos to TNA for letting Roode hold onto the world title for a few months

I like to see Aries and Styles tag team for a while them feuding with MCMG would be sweet

    Kaz shaved his head

How did the Guns return to action go? It's the match i'm looking forward to most.

Watching Before the Bell messed up at least one of my predictions. Had Roode for the win but then changed to Storm after watching that. Guess it did the intended job anyway :pac:

One of the worst crowds I've ever seen for a wrestling show. I'm almost glad they didn't do the title change in front of this crowd. They should hold it off until Slammiversary in Dallas (where I hope they'll have a better crowd than last night), it'd be nice for a guy who's been with the company since day one to win the title on the 10th anniversary show.

Watch Hardy/Angle and Storm/Roode (and Lethal Lockdown and The Guns/Magnus and Joe (who can easily do ten times better than they did last night) if you have time to kill).

I thought the main event was quality except for the obvious ending that they took too long to finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I enjoyed the show enough but as u said the crowd really killed the atmosphere. They were dead for Guns/Jonas Bros and only woke up for Hardy's high-spots. I'm glad there was no title change for this crowd; they didn't deserve it. The ppv did end really on a downer as a consequence but I do appreciate booking restraint. Crimson/Morgan needs to die off. And garret; how can you get behind the bland green guy who's bein pushed to the moon thanks to his daddy!!

Overall I did enjoy the show though; sans the crowd and Tazz gratingly amusing himself.

Enjoyed what i seen of the ppv last night, the crowd ruined it though.
Moments such as storm making his entrance and getting the upper-hand midmatch should have been amazing.

Watching it now. When people are saying the crowd were dead its a understatement. MCMG vs Magnus/Joe was a tidy match and they were dead the whole time. Its depressing watching it tbh. Lethal Lockdown match wasn't great, I think Garett is to Men's wrestling what Kelly Kelly is to Women's. Enough of the F*cking Ginsters ads already please Challenge.

Hardy vs Angle was pretty good the Swanton at the end looked great. Enjoyed Storm vs Rhoode even though it took a while to get going. Knockout & Tag Title matches were enjoyable. Nothing else really jumped out Morgan vs Crimson was just plain boring & the Lethal Lockdown was a letdown and a waste of talent with a ending that was flat as a board(Garett's dropkicks are diva level bad). Btw Sarita looked fine tonite, sorry Madison.
