Hi lads bit of advice please. If possible I like to connect my laptop to my TV. On the telly I've got scart and hdmi and another that looks like RGB but it differnt (Pr/Y/?) its hard to make out.

I was wondering if a vga to rca will work as the PS2 connects to the TV by RCA in a scart adapter. Would this work for the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

nope, you would need an external conversion box if your TV doesnt have VGA and the laptop doesnt have HDMI or svideo.

you can get VGA to y/pb/cr cables, but they dont work for laptop to tv connections without something to control the v/h-sync

Thanks Subway, saves me a load of grief. Will look into a conversion box.

    Cheers,

I bought a VGA to hdmi off eBay for about €40 works fine, the hdmi cable even carries sound to the TV
