    does anyone know the best way to post a very valuable dress to australia it will probaly be taped up in a secure box but what would be the safest way and quickest way and it would need to be insured for about 3000 euro ,,,any help would be very grateful thanks

    I'd only use on the couriers. Put your details into the website (box size, weight, where its going) and they'll all give you a quote (DHL, Fedex etc)

    As Dodge recommends, use a courier.

    With An Post the maximum you can insure any item for is €325 euros, so for a €3,000 euro dress a courier is really your only option. I don't know if a courier will insure an item for €3,000 though.

    And use registered post, don't even consider using standard post for such a valuable item. With couriers, you get a tracking number anyway.

    as Dodge said use a courier, but most couriers charge a premium for the insurance (usually 1-2% of the value) i would advise to call them to get quotes rather than use the websites to make sure they are giving you the full price.
