Is my TRS calculated correctly?

    Hi all, I hope that someone can confirm what my TRS is;

    I bought house as a FTB in July 2005, mortgage €208,000. My TRS was €50 p/month in 2008 and has been capped at €37.50 p/month for the last 3 years.

    Is this correct as I'm paying approx €5k a year in interest.

    I also got married in 2007 but my wife is not getting any TRS as she was never named on the mortgage as we wanted to keep her FTB status. It's unlikely we will be buying anytime soon so will she qualify for TRS also and would it be back dated?

    Thanks

    Answered my own question with a bit of research and rang the Revenue Commisioner who confirmed I was never treated as a First time buyer since day one so my mortgage relief was always capped. Hopefully a nice refund on the way.
