Just after removing the current one which has past/copy/highlight probs and put in an older one I have and it won't let me shrink or close down a window or open the start menu. Sorted:- Any suggestions for a good reliable basic mouse is optical the best way to go.

I'd reccomend a laser mouse over optical, more expensive but much more accurate and better. none of this jumping all over the place like optical can do either!
