I bought something online last week and DHL attempted to deliver it to me today, they didn't leave a note or anything but when I checked the online tracking it stated that delivery had been attempted but that the recipient was not at home

What now, do I have to contact them or will they just attempt to deliver it again?

The item will most likely go to their depot where it will be held for 10-14 days depending on their policy, and in my experience, they will not contact you, you have to contact them.

Thanks everyone, was going to email them yesterday morning and low and behold my delivery turned up, delivered of their own accord. Thought I was going to be in for a fun time the way everyone talks about them but I guess I just got lucky.
