What would you expect to be included in a Full Service?

As the title says.

What would you expect to be done to your car when your getting a full service. Its coming to a stage where my car is over 100k miles and i feel that every single fluid in the car should be replaced.

When i was speaking to the dealership they named out lots of stuff that they would check and replace, only if it was necessary.

Now obviously oil, sparks, air/oil filters get changed. The they named out lots of stuff they would check but indicate that they will only will replace and change it if necessary.

Now surely after 100k miles or 123k miles in my case all fluids would have to be replaced.

Or am I wrong in the way i look at it?

As far as ive had the car the only things that got changed were the usuals in a basic service.

I'd change the brake fluid and coolant too. Also timing belt may be required.

I have a timing chain Though id probably get that changed during the summer. Its getting a little bit too noisy for my liking

Add to this powersteering fluid and gearbox oil, and that's a set

Does your car have a pollen filter if so check your service history to see if you need a new one. Depending on how awkward of a location the pollen filter is in some mechanics couldn't be bother doing them. Sometimes we'd replace them and they would stink so bad, probably in the car since it was new.

Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years regardless of mileage, coolant maybe every 10 years. Get them to test your battery and have a look at the condition of the alternator belt.
