I just wondering if anybody can tell me can you backdate your logbook??

I bought an audi A6 6 months ago with the intention of exporting it to Australia when\if I emigrate in the summer, but it turns out the previous owner never sent off the logbook, I know totally my own fault for not following up on it, only thing was it had 8 months tax on it so I never had to do anything.

To import a car, Australia wants you to own it for 12 months, so the previous owner has sent off the logbook it was all signed and dated 6 months ago. So I wonder will there be any trouble with this?

Why should there be any trouble?
Logbook is signed and dated at the real sale date. I can't see any problem.

Surely it would be cheaper to buy an A6 over there with the cash from the sale of this car, plus the money you would otherwise use to pay shipping, insurance etc
