    Hey all

I was out of the county yesterday, and got delayed coming home today and missed my sign on, in the dole office...

    What do I do?

    Can I sign on tomorrow?

Go to you sw office and explain the situation to them. I presume you filled out a holiday form. If not then you can fill one out retrospectively.

You could ring them to confirm, but I'm nearly sure there is a late sign on time on a Friday.

I'll pop in tomorrow and just see what the story is. Any chance I'd get grief for missing the sign on? I missed it by an hour, pretty much, got back into to limerick at half 12, and the hatch closes at 11.30

Limerick Local Office will be closed to the public on Thursday, 16 February. It will re-open on Friday, 17 February.

Well you should have told them that you were out of the country as while you are out of the country you are not available and seeking work.

    He said County not Country.

Op, most offices will have late signing day, your payment will probably be a few days late next week as you missed your correct signing time.

Oops ok county not country... well if he was away from home even within Ireland he needs to apply for holiday as he was not available and looking for work unless he was at an interview for a job.
