I am on the market for a 3 wood and would love to hear peoples opinion's/Recommendations. I play off 20 after a long lay-off so i'm looking for a club that is forgiving as well as good quality.

Pricerange up to around €120. I'm left handed and second hand is fine as long as the club is in good condition.

    Thanks,

    M

Cant really help you, but it would be better if you stated your price range and if you wanted something new/secondhand or dont care

With the right shaft this is one of the easiest 3 woods to launch and hit. Long and forgiving and value for money:

Or try one of these. Easy to hit off the tee, the fairway or even the rough.

Can't recommend the taylormade burners enough buddy. Have both the five and three wood in the bag and they are so forgiving, as well as reasonably long hitting. Hope that helps

The finest fairway woods ever made. And unlikely to be bettered for the foreseeable future. In fact, they are quite likely to be played in a hundred years time and change hands for astronomical sums between major winners and super rich Bangladeshi industrialists. Some examples will aquire names and end up in museums, treated with the reverence of a Stradivarius or Amati.

Get your self one and your life will be better, you will have tales to entertain your grandchildren with, and, on your deathbed, you will look back on your life and think, 'what really mattered?', and you will have only one answer,' I played the TaylorMade R7st'

I don't like the way the '7' is bigger than the 'r' on the sole.

Have to agree here, picked up one of these in Halpenny a couple of weeks ago for €140. Its only been in the bag for 3 rounds but finding it very easy to hit and definitely hitting longer than my old G5.

I play off 15 by the way.

Really the best thing to do though would be to get yourself out to a golf shiop that has a range attached to it and hit a a range of clubs.

Was looknig at the Cobra Baffler 3W before buying the Taylormade. It was a close call as to which one I went for. That was going for €119 I think. Was a lovely club to hit (have a Baffler Hi-Brid which I also find a really nice club to hit), the Taylormade just felt nicer when I was standing over it.

Here here on the Burner 2.0 Superfast. Have one in a 18* (5 wood) and its almost made my driver redundant. Really easy to hit and very forgiving. Play off 14 and find myself confident enough to try and shape the ball with this club. Something I'd never of dreamed of 2 months ago

I have the 3 & 5 woods of these I think (or possibly a newer model) and I do find them very good. The 3 wood is neat in size too so I am able to hit it from the fairway (when I back myself!).
