Why are you getting this surgery done? Are you very very shortsighted? This procedure is virtually the same as cataract surgery ( where the crystalline lens is replaced with a intraocular lens implant of a certain power). Why don't you check with the blackrock clinic or mater private as to what the cost may be with them. My wife is an optician and she is fearful of recommending a high street chain for a procedure of this nature.

are you serious? blackrock clinic and mater private are private for profit companies too. you're a victim of the latter's marketing if you think otherwise.

    Samsa,

If you have the time will you get a quote of Blackrock and the Mater Private. I have a strong feeling they will be way cheaper that Optical Express.

At Veritable your point fails to make any sense and is misleading. Do you really believe that the Mater Private or the Blackrock Clinic are not any better than Optical Express? I'd sooner put my faith in an establishment that has a good medical back up service and not an orginisation that are driven mainly for profit. And considering I'm in the Opticial business I will recommend who I think are the best when customers ask me about laser or any eye surgury.

    Hi Samsa,
Did you get your quote for the procedure? Just curious to know what you got cause I am also considering doing it.
