I hope it's okay to post this here.

Basically someone I know is looking for some interesting metal to partake in the St. Patrick's day parade. We're talking a professional outfit dealing with cars, so the drill goes as follows:

On arrival cars can be washed etc for you, and any minor fettling needed done free gratis.

You get to partake in the parade :D

Afterwards there's no problem with secure storage for cars while everyone's taken for eats and drinkies free gratis.

What's sought are cars that non - car people will look at and go "wow, that's nice". I guess you could say MG's, any of the old Austin / Morris stuff, anything that wouldn't normally be seen out and about. My role in this is simply to put the word out, so if anyone would like to pm me I can pass on the specifics.

Numbers need to be ascertained a.s.a.p.

    Cheers :)

    Tony.

I don't think many classic car owners would like someone else to wash their treasured car :)

However if you offer any owner a free soup / sambo / thea / coffee, I'd say you'll have more luck attracting them!

What year is considered classic. I think mines too new but its a really nice 95 bmw 318i. I realise it might not suit

Fair point. All that would be entirely optional.

Thanks eternal. Probably too new though it's a car I'd have a lot of respect for.

What time are people to meet from and where?

The first post mentioned refreshments afterwards but my experience of parades is that the cars are nearly always towards the back and there tends to be a lot of waiting around so I think it would be better appreciated if soup / sambos, etc was provided before the parade. I know myself once the parade is over I'll be scooting straight off for pints and do not want to be going back to the starting area! :D

Just found out that I've been 'volunteered' to do something locally for Patricks day so me and the e30 wont be getting a run this year
