    Hi,

Turns out I am going to be in Rome the weekend of the Ireland v Italy match. Anyone been there for matches that can give me advice on where would be a good spot to watch the match.

The last time I watched Irish rugby in Rome was at the Stadio Flaminio!

However, I was there again last summer and this was a nice (if a little small) Irish pub in the Pantheon-Navona area of town:

It's a nice part of town, and the surrounding area has a multitude of fantastic dirt cheap little trattorias and pizzerias for afterwards (and the abbey itself does food but why would you).

+1 for the abbey, great spot for sport, and does a decent pint too. the best pizzeria in rome is just across the street Da Baffetto 2, if you're feeling peckish after

If that's the place near the Campo Dei Fiori then it's probably the second best pizza I've ever eaten (bets was in Sardinia).

It's also damn cheap - we had starters, pizza, wine, beer, dessert and coffees for €35.

Looks like that will be the one to go for so. There goes one day of sightseeing anyway!!
