Time to get your skank on @ Choonage with some bass heavy Dub, Reggae, Roots and Deep, dark Dubstep on the menu this coming Feb 23rd
After a storming (and very bassey) Choonage #5, we are back to every second Thursday and are keeping the vibes low end with Cork's premier bass pusher Jonezy beaming in from the Rebel County with a sack full of dubbed out wax treats to sooth the soul

    >>

Jonezy is a Cork bassed vinyl junkie, DJ, promoter and producer who's been hustlin' across the Dub,Dubstep and Jungle scene for a fair few moons at this stage - - A fiercely loyal soldier of wax, Jonezy has for a long number of years rolled with the DubCulture crew stirring up the sub at pretty much every Cork music house as well as festivals the land over. Noted for outrageous spends on classic Dub,Reggae and Jungle vinyl, you will hear choons that are rarer than your granny's teeth and since his new Rise Up night premiered down south last year, he's had an even bigger platform to dispense his medicine.

    Look out Galway =)

A journey through the roots of bass mucis beckons, with additional cuts from Choonage residents Miles Iwes and Welfare

More like a night that Galway needs, massive respect to Welfare and the crews on the west coast bringing the party back, but there's plenty of nights in Dublin catering for this stuff if you know where to look; Sweeney's and the Twisted Pepper and King 7 between them would have something like this on most weeks.

Again, not a diss to Welfare and the crew's hard work, they're doing a great job waking a city up again.

    :)
