Anyone ever use temperature to check if cows are 'on'? I think they're temperature is higher when they're in heat. It's supoosed to be 98% accurate too.

    Only heard about this recently

"Body temperatures rises during oestrus by about 0.2oC. Measurement of temperature, either of milk or body, can identify cows in heat. Unfortunately temperature rises similar to those seen in oestrus occur at other time. Using temperature measurement alone results in too many cows that that are not in heat being identified as in oestrus."

    Check out moominder.ie

Interesting product, remember seeing it mentioned on a thread a few months back.

Dunno if it's available on the market yet.
