Ray Winstone making Jeremy Clarkson look youthful and trim.

That Plan B fella that was with Ray seriously annoys me

Bollox - worst episode I have ever seen.

Didn't think overall it was a great episode...but the bit where Clarkson is instruction them to do the Cockney rhyming slang had me in stitches

Its Jeremy Clarkson that should be shot for wrecking all those cars. I nearly cried when I seen the XF missing its arse and the ST......:eek:

    My favourite bit:
Clarkson cutting out the Landrover with a scissors and the others making fun of him. Genuinely funny.
Just tells you how much about cars that show is, though the Corsa vs the Panda can be called a "real" car bit, not that I would ever buy either one in a million years.

    Wasn't an ST.
1.6 with an ST badge stuck on with blue tack.

Very poor show tonight, need to come up with new ideas as watching Clarkson going round in circles in a field is not entertainment.

Didnt cop that now. The other cars were the ST as they had the ST seats. Beautiful cars imo.

he actually said it was a 1.6 eco boost or something.

    Oh yes, want one.
The Jag was none too shabby too.
What actually annoys me more is when classic cars get wrecked for stupid drivel like the Dukes of Hazzard movie.
They can always make more modern cars, but every classic destroyed is lost forever and can't be replaced.
    Grinds my gears.

Despite I having a good laugh, sort of left wondering when it's gonna start ...

The jump at 4.35 was (almost) worth it!

Is destroying a few cars their only party trick now? More scripted stuff seems to be norm now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,943 ✭✭✭Tropheus

I've seen better. Usual staged TG stuff that we've become used to in recent years. However, I was in stiches in parts so can't really complain.

yet another rubbish episode , thought after last week they were getting back on track but looks like that was a one off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 443 ✭✭maceocc2

Pure rubbish, gone for bad to worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 176 ✭✭tiernanobrien

yeah it was very poor... i reckon it's days are numbered if it continues like that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 565 ✭✭✭bodonnell

Hammond seems to be getting worse with each show, found him very annoying last night. Think they should review more cars both average & top end & have a bit of crack reviewing them, they can't even do the 'news' without going off topic & talking sh##e. Rant over

It was the best episode they have done alot better! But then again they have done everything...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 122 ✭✭questionquick

Hi i was just wondering is there a car show that actually reviews cars?

Seems there is a good business opportunity available for somebody with a few million to get a decent car review show going.

Instead of this nonsense that top gear are doing; terrible, awful jokes.

I like that show wheeler dealers.

I remember top gear used to be good. might have been a decade ago

Didn't see it last night I could have caught that last 45 mins but didn't bother and having read so much hostile comment on TG transmission blogs, finalgear and digitalspy I don't think I'll bother. Sounds like Hammond is once again at the centre of the badness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

    Again I apologise:p

Was a bit crap all right except that cool little Corsa, but considering the first two episodes were good I won't go to hard on them.

5th gear is pretty good as they have a decent driver on it and they have some decent segments in it. Plus they have VBH on it too :pac:
They have a good few decent drivers Ben Collins, Tiff, VBH and Plato.

Take Hammond out of it and it would be alot better show, in saying that it would loose the wimmens vote then.

Think Clarkson and May really have a better dynamic, remember a few seasons ago they tested post war cars, found it genuinely interesting.

I vote employing Amber Heard! :)

Or maybe someone Irish, I think that might actually work well.
