Yesterday I'm walking down Dawson St when a moron cycles past me going up the street, I turn to cross the road and the idiot has knocked down an older lady clean to the ground and has hurt her. Then 1/2 an hour later I spot 2 cyclist going up Westmoreland row turning at Kennedy's bar and nearly crashing into an on coming car.

As a Cyclist (motorist and pedestrian) it really vexes me when I see this. I cannot understand why people do this.

    What do you think?

    Vexes me too.
I cycle - I also drive and I'm pedestrian and from time to time a public transport user.
Cycling Purists seem to me to have a major chip on their shoulder, that all the motoring world is out to get them. But when you see this sort of behaviour from cyclist, is it any wonder?
Dublin city has a narrow medieval street layout, every user need to share this layout. That means that all users need to follow the rules, and if everyone followed the rules then there would be no issues.
Failure to follow rules just because you witness someone else do it, or just this one time - they are really not good excuses.

Seriously, there should be a law against that sort of thing.

    "Idiot does something idiotic".

It's not really going to make international news headlines tbh.
