    Dropped the form in about 3 weeks ago to the local guard station ...Just wondering how long does it usually take before you get the licence??

    Official time frame is 3 months.

    As Exridax said, it can take any time up to three months (and longer in some cases if they need further info).

    I have found that some areas are faster than others, it's just luck of the draw sometimes.

    I received my rifle licence in four weeks, my pistol took a little over three months. I've another application gone in yesterday so we'll see how long that will take.

    Maybe give it another few weeks and then call into the station and see what the story is.

    I left in two about two weeks ago and had them both in ten day's.
    So I think it all depends where you are.

    12gauge took 2months.
