Yeah, further reading indeed indicates that they are.

The motor is only 600 watt so its probably sh1te too. Buy a Henry if you want a second handy size hoover..

Have you got one??. I know a lad with one and I thought it was useless allthough my Hoover nearly sucks up the floor boards with the suction..

I used my neighbour's Dyson handheld once, and thought it was great, but don't own one myself (yet).

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Cordless ones simply do not have enough power to suck up anything but loose crumbs and fluff

The last time I saw the Dyson handheld one it was €149 - ridiculous money for that little sucker :D

You're gonna be stuck with your plugged in one I'm afraid. You really need over 2kw as well. When you're replacing your current one, buy a Miele. Nearly as expensive as a Dyson but it works better. You'll be surprised how much time it saves you over using a midrange vacuum cleaner

At€149 it might be cheaper to go down the garage or am I just urban-centric?

I have a Miele at home and its a savage machine. It was nearly 400 quid but it makes hoovering a pleasure. It has a HEPA filter too..

    +1

Mine was about 230 a few years ago - it was a special offer and I bargained it down a bit further. At the time I did a bit of research and it was much better in tests than more expensive Dysons. Still not cheap but well worth it :)

I had a look at the dyson hand held and the cheapest one is around €170 for six minutes of power

I am using regular Dyson hoover, i paid last year for it around 300 euro, i am using it for house cleaning, but in that set, there is small size tools ... one probably for sofas,,,, works perfect in car seats, carpets..., also it have small pipe tool, probably designed for cleaning behind house heating radiators, that tool very good for cleaning between seats and do corners.
Good household vacuum cleaner would be grand, just main thing is, descent tool set have to comes with .
