Have been given a 6 month old Neo by someone who has just switched to a Samsung S2. Haven't got it set up for my network yet, should be working by tomorrow, but can I take it from this thread that I'm going to like it?!

Have the Play. Absolutely love it for retro gaming. Have been playing Metal Gear Solid on the PS emulator in addition to the Zelda on the SNES :)

Big complaints though are pitiful internal memory and pretty crappy camera.

Internal memory is cack alright, 380mb with a lot of that taken by the OS have constant low memory warnings with all possible app-> sd stuff transferred. Its pathetic reall for a smartphone. Camera is pants too coming from iphone4

Depends what kind of functionality you want:

OI Notepad - Simple note taking. Free.
    Astrid - task management. Free.
Evernote - complex note taking - text, images and voice clippings. Freemium.

Has anyone flashed an Android 2.3 ROM onto their X8? Does one have to unlock the bootloader first or is rooting enough? Is there any easy way to unlock the bootloader? I'm new to, and confused by, all of this business...

i did it with an original galaxy tab. just googled it and found it there. xda developers are usually the guys when it comes to this kind of stuff. can be risky though, so make sure you're confident what you're doing (i followed a youtube tutorial, pausing along the way), or if not maybe ask someone you know to do it for you

Considered doing so for my x10 but rooted on stock its stable so I dont really see the need.

Hi. I wonder could someone tell me how I can access the words, which I have entered in my user dictionary, while writing a text. I am using predictive text and the words I have entered are not coming up for me. Thanks.

(I posted a thread on this with no replies so I thought I'd stick my question here too. Maybe someone who has experienced the same issue will read it sometime. I came across the exact same issue in a different forum:

    http://androidforums.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10-mini/203700-how-access-words-saved-user-dictionary-sms.html

and there was no replies there either, the mind boggles)

I bought an Arc S today, replacing my HTC Desire.
Happy enough although that Timeline thing is a real pain in the arse!
Hard to find though, there were only two stores on the Northside of Dublin that had them in stock.
I went into Carphone Warehouse and they firstly maintained it wasn't out yet, when I pointed out that it was, as it was the Arc S, not the S, they said we never had them in, useless shower...
Anyways, seems like a nice phone, glad to be away from the Sense UI, it was not an attractive UI imho.
We'll see how we get on, looking forward to ICS later this month!
