Hi, new to boards, so any help greatly appreciated...
My wife just got a nice speeding ticket in the post... Photo of the reg is correct, but she was not in the stated place at the stated time, and I'm pretty sure we could get evidence to prove this... I am not saying it is our reg because it could be a cloned plate but there is no way she could have committed the offence at the time and place stated...
Anyone been in a similar situation??? and have an idea of what to do next???

Email npo(at)garda.ie with evidence of the location of the car at the time. I emailed them before regarding an incorrect location and the fine and points were retracted.

I agree, email them initially. I contested my ticket and got it withdrawn after providing the evidence they requested. They were very helpful and courteous both by email and phone.

Do it asap as the clock doesn't stop ticking even if you contact them.

I got a speeding ticket with the incorrect time on it. I did pass the location mentioned an hour previously but I reached home 5 mins later and texted someone to say I was home. I was in bed at the time stated on the ticket. Do I have any defense against this ticket and what should I do?

I presume you were caught by a camera van, if so there'll be a full picture on file which will show the car and occupants. You can request a copy of this if you wish. If the car looks like yours and the driver looks like you I doubt the time will matter and the error will be corrected in court (if you chose to challenge or otherwise fail to pay the penalty notice).
