Is it possible to upgrade an internal laptop bluetooth module?

I have a Lenovo 3000 N500. It has a BCM2046 Bluetooth module, which is BT 2.1 afaik. Is there a compatible module that will give it Bluetooth 3? I'm not really interested in yet another USB dongle, I run out of USB ports fairly quickly.
