    Hi All,

I do an expensive monthly train commute - Eur445 this month. And my company only allow people to sign up to the taxsaver scheme once a year in April.

So by the time the 1st of April comes around I will have been doing this for 5 months. What I am wondering is if I am able to claim anything back on those 5 months in which I have been paying for these monthly tickets myself?

    Thanks!

    No

I believe it is a condition that the company itself has to buy the ticket to be eligable for the scheme. It cant be purchased by the employee themselves.

    Thanks for the reply.

What I meant was separate to the taxsaver scheme is it possible to claim relief for travel expenses?

    Sorry but no again.

Travel from home to work is never allowed as an expense.
