I got a quote for repairing some damage to my door a few weeks back via email with photos.

I was happy with the quote so booked the car in for wednesday morning just gone.

I left it in at opening on wednesday, when I asked about a price, he said the one given would be what it would cost.

I left the car in and said I'd be back tomorrow (friday) morning to collect.

however, I got a message late this evening telling me there was more damage inside and that it would be tomorrow afternoon before it would be ready, they would be spraying the car tomorrow morning and it would be the afternoon before dry.

Am a little worried now that 1, the coating won't have enough time to set and I might damage the coating if its wet when driving home and 2, he might bump up the bill due to the extra work, I feel he should have rung me alot earlier if this was the case, so I could have decided if I wanted to proceed -> it makes me wonder if they started the job on wednesday?

Any ideas?

the coating should be ok. i beat they didnt start it till wensday

Hope they under take the exra work for free but highly unlikely.

Any decent garage should call to outline any extra work/dosh involved........
