I have a 320i that has a damaged "parking light".. I think that's what they're called, it's the lower spot lights that are on the bumper.

Would this fail the NCT for me?

    Cheers

Maybe they are fog lights... Are you talking about the front bumper?

If the light is cracked, car will fail. But you can easily just unmount them and the pass NCT without them, as they are not obligatory.

All assuming it's the fog light.

    That's a nebelscheinwerfer surely?
Is it always on when you have your lights on (when it's working like?)

Yes, the ones on the front that you have to manually turn on.

It is broken and needs replacing completely, damaged by a stone.

I'd say you have two broken parking lights too...

Right, I'm still not sure here, is this a fail or not, it does generate a light on the dashboard too...

Quick answer would be fine as I have NCT next week and will need to get it repaired

    As I said - it's a fail.
If it's side light, then you have to fix it.
If it's fog ligth, you can fix it, but you can as well just unmount them.
    That's all your options.

If it's a fail it should be a visual re-test, so it's free.
