    Firstly you need to decide if you need to register for VAT. You will need to register if your total sales is likely to exceed €37,500 in the next 12 months.

    If you expect that to happen you need to complete form TR1 available from the Revenue website (assuming you are a sole-trader).

    Once registered you will charge VAT at 13.5% on treatments. The rate for cosmetics is 23%.

    If you are not registered you don't charge any VAT.
