Outdoor weddings

Hi everyone! Congratulations on getting married/planning too! Myself and my fiancée would like to get married but in a bit unusual way in Dublin - outdoor. Does anyone know if you have to get a permit from the council to do a ceremony in a park like St.Stephen's Green? If so, I'd appreciate if someone could please direct me to the right person/body to talk to.
    Many thanks!

The HSE don't allow it so your only option for a legal outdoor wedding would the the Spiritualists AFAIK. Google Tom Colton.

That's what we're doing as well. We booked Tom Colton as we wanted the freedom to get married wherever we wanted, none if this 4 walls and a roof nonsense. We're getting married beside a lake if it's good weather...

That's unbelievable that in this age and time that people can't get married wherever they want... Thank you so much for your advice. Is tom the only minister that can do it? I guess if I google ministers, we should find a choice?
Is it only spiritualists that can do it outdoor?
    Thanks again.

I don't think it's just the Spiritualist Union that do outdoor weddings. However, there are not many organisations that will marry people outside of their faith. I think someone mentioned on another thread that the Unitarian church also does weddings.
