I was doing a repair job on the indicator stalk and I had to remove the clock spring, so as I pulled on the clockspring to remove it it jumped out quickly and the wire coil unwound onto my lap! ( I didn't know what I was doing, in case you're wondering, and the car is mine).
Is the clock spring broken? I've been told that the air bag could go off one I reconnect it. Could I have broken something that I cant see? any help would be great. Thanks.

you just need to get a replacement for it,you could still use the car without it temporarily but you will have no horn and your airbag light will be on.
