Looking at buying a laptop when I'm in the States next month, but I'd like to make some changes to it. Was thinking of ordering online from US webstore and arranging for an instore pickup.

I know they wont accept an Irish delivery address, but does anyone know if they'll accept an Irish card as payment?

    Thanks

Hi, I don't think two. There might be two options, apple gift (has to be a US) one or if they accept PayPal. If that is the case register with PayPal your credit card and use that account to pay for the item

Best of luck....and enjoy the trip

i bought a mac mini in the states a few years ago in an apple store. looked to get extra ram in it. they said it would take about two hours to do. paid for it with Irish card and they sent me an email when it was ready and i went back to get it. (if you give them a mobile they would ring you as well) Depending on the size of the store you are going to- bear in mind that they will probably have some stock in store of machines with extra ram etc.

Only thing they can change in store is RAM.

OP try using your credit card in the store and using your address for your Irish Card but choose US as the country. WOrked for me in the Canadian store.

If you are in NY, do the shopping at B&H store. www.bhphotovideo.com. You can get there any customized item for the same prize like from apple store.
Also they accept IE cards. Good thing is if you will be outside of NY and send it to any home address (not hotel), you won't even pay tax :) and will get free UPS ground delivery.
I did so last September. My goods were delivered to NJ next day;)
