Entitlements when dropped out of college.

I have just recently dropped out of my second year of Law, due to no longer being able to afford it. I know there's grants and so on for college students, but things were getting so bad that I couldnt even afford the bus into college anymore so I just decided to leave and I will return in a few years.

I am just wondering what I am entitled to regarding state benefits and allowances. I am not sure if I am entitled to Job Seekers Allowance or Benefit.
I have lived away from my parents for 2 years, so I am renting my own place, I have a room mate. Will they want to assess his income too?

I am applying for jobs all the time, so I just need somethin until I get hired.

    Can anyone help please?

You should apply for JSA,you will need a letter on headed note paper from the college stating that you are no longer a student.Your room mate's income should not need to be accessed so long as you are not cohabiting, and you can prove same.

Thanks for the reply. Im not sure how to prove that this person is just a room mate though. We live in the same apartment (different beds though), but it may look like he's my boyfriend because he's a male when in fact we're just friends; we did sign the lease together and agreed to both stay here for a 6 month period, i wonder does this count as cohabiting, even thought we're just livin under the same roof?
