Tyres for a small car?

Tyres for a small car? Just drove the Mrs’ new (ish) Fiesta. A fairly lively and light 1.4l model. I was turning out onto a main road and put my foot down, not excessively, and instead of going forward I got a lot of tyre spin. The tyres are new, not sure what type off hand, and not worn in any way.
Can anyone recommend the best tyres to put on a lively but light car? (I think it’s running on 14” wheels)

What are the brand/model of tyres at the moment ?

If you are used to drive big cars, reaching limit of small cars is easy with similar driving pattern.

I'll post up the details tomorrow. I'm sure they are fairly standard yokes though.

Tyres don't have to be worn to be shíte. Buy good quality tyres, they're not even expensive for 14".

I was personally thinking of Sunny's, but I suppose we'll await the decision tomorrow :D

Triangles are a cheaper economy brand made by Sunny.

Or Wanli. Do I only get one guess? I'll go for Sunnys too. Think the triangles only come in Passat/Audi sizes (altho I've seen em on a Merc too - triangle + rwd  )

Spinning up the tyres once doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with them though. Water, gravel, incline, diesel, heavy foot....
I had a 1.3 fiesta once whose responsiveness was pleasantly surpriseing.

    Flipping Michelin Tyres.
Guess it’s just a case of adjusting my foot to compensate for the lightness of the car. Or just not driving it again :>
