    Hi :)

Im 18 and after the leaving cert myself and a few friends are going to Barcelona for a week and I was just wondering what 'staples' clotheswise should I bring?

I only have one summer dress, gladiator sandles, a few pairs of shorts and one or two tshirts so I do need to buy some new stuff!

What should I be bringing and where is the best place to buy cheap summer clothes?

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Well, dare I say it, Penney's is great for summer clothes. I always feel with summer clothes that it is pointless spending too much money as they get ruined anyway with sun cream staining etc. This summer the trend seems to be for coloured trousers, prints (like the Versace print), sorbet colours and tribal. Another trend this summer is for the biker jacket, but in a more dressy way - in the Chanel tweed style, metallic and also lace. One of these would make a very casual outfit seem quite dressy when added with some costume jewellry at night. I supppose the best bet is to get the famous 'capsule' wardrobe where you have the basics in matching tones and then add some cheaper items to make the outfits more on trend. H & M, New Look, Vera Moda and Dorothy Perkins are all good alternatives to Primark. Have a great holiday and good luck with the exams. :D

I know some people are wary about using eBay, but I think it's great for clothes or summer accessories you want cheap. I bought lovely aviator sunglasses for only €7 and I'm planning on buying a maxi dress and a playsuit in the next few days. You just have to read the descriptions carefully first.
I'm going to the canary islands with my friends after the exams too, hope you have a great time!

Forever21 are great for them as well. Some tank tops, one or two fancier ones, few pairs of shorts, summery skirt or two, playsuit, maxi dress, and a blazer or two should form the guts of what you bring away.
