Ok I've asked a couple of similar questions here before but I'm coming up blank.

I'm trying to come up with somewhere to take my girlfriend preferably within 2 hours of Dublin but don't seem to be able to find anywhere that fits the bill.

I'm looking for somewhere contemporary. We've been to the G a couple of time and really liked it.

I've a price range of around €400 for two nights. I was considering the G again but staying in a similar room to last time would be somewhere around €560. I don't mind the price but I'd like to keep it to around €400.

I was looking at the Twelve Hotel, which looks nice.

Has anyone stayed in the castlemartyr - is it modern?

Castlemartyr is a big old house(I went to Irish college there!!) and there are rooms in the old house or in the newer extension.

Try the Ardilaun Hotel, the Radisson or somewhere in Salthill like the Galway Bay, you can request a nice room over looking the prom in the Galway Bay, and also get an upgrade in the Ardilaun for a sea view.

What about the Adare Manor or Dromoland Castle?
