Getting back with my ex

Hi guys, just looking for a bit of advice on this, looking at the title I know what you're all probably thinking, but I think this is different! And its not just because valentines day is next week and I dont want to be alone!!

Anyway, myself and my ex (lets call her Clare) broke up about 6 months ago, after being together for about 4/5 months. We were both 20 at the time. We broke up because she felt she wasn't ready for a relationship, which I completly understood and accepted. Looking back now, we did rush into things slightly, which I admit was mainly my fault, as I was mad about Clare for ages, and when she agreed to go out for a date and then a second date with me, I was so happy I really pushed for a relationship with her without giving it time to form naturally!!
When we broke up, we promised each other to stay friends, as we really got along welll with each other and neither of us did anything "wrong" that justifed never speaking again!!
After we broke up, not a whole lot changed, we still spend loads of time together, get on great and do loads of stuff together. Infact, loads of people we speak to presume we are a couple. Just recently we went to london together for the new year and things like that.
What I really miss though is the intamacy we had. Bar a few times when we were drunk, we havnt kissed or had sex since we broke up, which is probably the main difference from when we were going out.
I know for a fact she hasn't been with anyone since we broke up, and neither have I!! Recently we were out together and a girl came up flirting with me in a night club, and Clare came over saying get away from my boyfriend, although I know she was drunk.

The thing is, over the last 6 months, we have really gotten to know each other. We have even made plans to move away together when she finishes college next year. I know her better the anyone else and to be honest shes now my best friend, I love her to bits, and I'm 99% sure she feels the same way!! I'm the person she calls if she wants a chat or needs help with something. I feel like we are ready to try the relationship again, but I suppose I'm scared if it doesn't work out for a second time, that will be the end of us, including the friendship and everything else!!

What do people think, should I just talk to her and tell her how I feel (which she knows anyway I'm sure), or just leave it and be lucky to have her as a frend......I don't know whats best to do!!

You're going to just have to talk it out with her yourself. I'd be very confused in your situation, on the one hand she's told you doesn't want a relationship, on the other she's hanging out with you all the time, still occasionally sleeping with you etc. She could just see you as a very close friend and not want to be constrained by a relationship, who knows. But you need to find out because otherwise the thought of what could have been will eat you up.

    Good luck.
