Salary Cert

I recently obtained a salary cert from my employer.

On the left hand side is listed my basic pay (as per pay scale).

On the right hand side they have listed a deduction (pension etc) and added on an allowance.

At the bottom right hands side in bold there is an amount listed in bold and larger font. Is this my salary? (it seems to be basic pay minus deductions plus allowance).

I am a bit confused as I always assumed that my salary was my basic pay plus my allowance.

Why have you posted this in taxation?

Not all payslips are the same, so it's pretty much impossible to answer your question with any degree of accuracy.

If your having trouble, the best thing you can do really is to ask your payroll department to talk you through it.
