Buy the 120bhp version, spend €300 get it remapped to 150bhp. Save yourself €1700.

Personally I think A4s are a bit overrated, but each to their own. Why not consider the new 3 series or if you want a bit of comfort, the Volvo S60 or the Merc C-class?

If you're absolutely sure you want an A4, is there any reason why you're not considering the 136 bhp engine, as that is nearly €800 less than the 143? It's also more economical than either the 120 or 143 engines, so it strikes me that that is the model to go for, I very much doubt you'll notice a difference of 7 bhp on the road.

The 177 is probably the best engine but there is a big jump up in price for it over the 143 never mind the 136 - it's very close to a BMW 520d in price, and I know which one of those two cars I'd be having!

Ive Driven the 120Bhp, We are looking to get the S-Line Pack and it doesn't seem to be available with the new 2013 Model(which is available now) ,Thought the 120bhp seemed powerful enough but didn't exactly get to "test" it

I'd go for the 136 bhp engine to be honest.

You do realise that you can have a 184 bhp 320d Sport for less money than a 136 bhp A4 S-Line yes, and that car is much faster as well as being RWD rather than FWD?

Don't like them to be honest. Love the Audi A4 Avant. Thanks for your opinion and advice.
