the route was well marked alright, fairly breezy at the start, but very scenic run and personally I found it a good challenge with the hill at the start and finish

Nice win by Pronator by all accounts. Any chance of a race report?

After a hard race last Sunday in Enniscorthy and two track sessions this week, I was asking myself before this, "why am I here" but the course made up for my lack of motivation.

In fairness congrats to Stephen and his team, I could not fault this race, good value for money, chip timed and a burger bar at the end:) (never saw that before).

I'll be sore tomorrow no doubt:eek:

Well done to the organisers, great race today and very well organised. They seem to have gotten over their early teething problems. Location was ace too. Should have worn road runners myself, my knees are singing now from the constant downhill pounding

Yeah. Liked this course. Bit of a downhill to start you off then sustained climb for a couple of K before a flowing downhill. Another small climb at the end.

The only part that got me was the 200m switchback at the end. I had pounded past my mate up the last bit of the climb thinking we were on the home straight, only to find an extra loop around cones. As a consequence, was pipped on the line

The Bib-Tags were cool. Chip timing without the fuss.

The 'burger bar' was crepe :D 20min waiting in the freezing wind for a crispy pancake. It tasted pretty good though (nutella and banana). The cup of tea was definitely needed.

Are they up on any regular website?

Can't get into Facebook at work.

Good race yesterday. It was my first proper hill of 2012. Not overly happy with my time (52 mins), but plenty of time to improve that.

The location is lovely and the views at the top of the hill are fantastic. I would definately do it again.

Fair play to the chap in the Crepe trailer, almost took off a few times with the wind that was hitting him straight on, but still managed to get tasty crepes out to all..!
