    Having trouble with a jcb 406 loader,same roughly as a 1989 3cx

the owner of it was messing around with it and it wont start or move.
i replaced the ignition key switch which was loose and didnt feel right. The relay starter switch is my main suspect.

the trouble is i need to understand what goes where.
the neutral starter switch on the clutch brake-where does that get its power from?
does anyone have a wiring diagram of the back of the ignition switch in case i have ballsed it up

    any help appreciated

there are also a few loose wires that seem to be in the vicinity of the ignition switch that are getting on my nerves

    helpy

the foward reverse switch has to be in netural which do also give bother and the botton on the hand brake has to be pushed in fully or it wont start

Ya I have the forward/reverse in neutral and the handbrake is not there so its not that

can you hear any relays clicking when you turn the key to the start position? try tapping them and see if that helps
you could also try holding the key in the start position and moving the forward/reverse lever back and forward and see if the starter motor turns, if it does the neutral switch could be at fault

    Thanks for that Hiluxman
    I will try that tomorrow.

I did poke the starter relay and id say that was to blame for the starting, but the moving of it has me bogged down too.

i am going to run some current from the neutral switch on the clutch pedal and try and find where it goes. it probably goes to the starter relay which again would solve a problem.

Would an agri stores place stock the same type of starter relay as a JCB crowd?
