Hi everybody. I'm planning to buy a set of headlights for an 03 Punto MK2 and I was told that they have fogs. What I'm wondering about is that, can I buy some sort of button or something for the blank switch beside the rear fog switch? Or can I just connect the fogs to the blank one and it will suddenly be pressable:confused:?

Not all MK2 headlights have fogs fitted, they were an option. The blank on the dash now is just a plastic cover with nothing behind it. you could buy a factory switch and fit it or get an aftermarket switch fitted somewhere on the dash.

Alright thanks a lot. I'll check a factory switch. Thanks again :)

You'd need to see if there is even any wiring there to connect the fog lights and switch to.

Thanks all you guys. I've searched a bit about those switches. I can find any, aftermarket or factory ones for the blank one in my car. Can anyone find any?

As posted on the other thread. The switches aren't mechanical, you can't retrofit the factory switches, just buy a universal foglight relay kit with switch and mount somewhere else on the dash if you absolutely think its worth the bother (which it isn't)

Yeah all my research and this thread is pointing at me getting the DRL. I think I would go for that option. Not unless I find something else that's bad about that. :) Thanks again all you guys.

But the punto lights come on when you turn the key, if you want DRLs, just leave the headlights on, they'll turn off with the car and turn on with the car. You're just making work for yourself :D

Yeah but the DRLs look nicer and they consume MUCH MUCH less power than headlights.
