Looking at a few threads on boards ,it seems the works being carried out in finglas on rathoath road are a cycle track and walkway. I've noticed the construction looks well done so far ,not sure where it will exit/end though.
Anyone know anything about it ?

    Thread on boards about it.

I think it just goes through Tolka Valley Park and exits out on the Finglas road near to were Tolka Vale apartments are. Be careful in that park especially at night, plenty of scrotes, scumbags about.

This is a new route ,starting at the river road on the far side of the road where the track your talking about ends on rathoath road.
I use the river road but I don't like it at all ,very bad road especially in the dark. Not sure how they'll facilitate an exit back onto the road as it's pretty narrow.

Is this new track coming from the Ratoath road towards Blanchardstown or towards City Centre?

The river road takes you to ashtown from rathoath road. I use it to get to the phoenix park if I'm coming from finglas.

I think there is some sort of "Green Corridor" being built from the city to Blanchardstown, was talked about a few years back.

Nice looking ,it would be great if they went all the way up the river road by the dunsink observatory and exit onto dunsink lane/canal entrance.

On that map from the city centre to Blanch and beyond is the canal.

I've cycled down Dunsink Lane (after carrying bike across the berm, don't ask), it would need "re-mediation" before it could be a viable part of a bicycle commuting route.

There is also work happening where Upper Sheriff Street crosses canal which would connect to a piece of cycle lane that goes from North Wall Quay. The canal bridges from Drumcondra to North Strand Road are a bit tight, the section after Prospect Rd/Phibsorough is great (in daylight)

Are the 2 routes "canal to Blanchardstown" and "Tolka to Finglas"?
