Bought some almond butter in Hollands and Barrett yesterday. It cost 4.60 for 170g. A 500g bag of almonds cost 10 euro.

I was checking on MyProtein and they sell 1kg of almond butter for 12 euro and 500g bags of nuts are 6 euro. Though id have to pay a fiver for delivery.

    Trying find the cheapest place

Aldi sell Almonds/Hazelnuts/Walnuts for €1.80 per 200g bag IIRC

I've also seen bags of almonds in Lidl, don't know the price though.

I buy hazelnuts, almonds, brazil nuts and pistachios in Tesco, I find that they are too expensive anywhere else.

    From Loren Cordain Ph.D.:
you can see that the Omega-6 to Omega-3 profile of nuts is not much better than for refined vegetable oils

    Walnuts - 4/2
    Macadamia nuts - 6/3
    Pecans - 20/9
    Pine nuts - 31/6
    Cashews nuts - 47/6
    Pistachio nuts - 51/9
    Sesame seeds - 58/2
    Hazel nuts - 90/0
    Pumpkin seeds - 114/4
    Brazil - 377/9
    Sunflower seeds - 472/9
    Almonds - no omega-3 fats
    Cocount - no omega-3 fats

And he says that the ideal ratio is 2:1 so Walnuts are the best nuts to eat.

Not when you factor in shipping to here. Works out more expensive for 1kg Almond Butter shipped. :(
