Just checking and the last 2 weeks I have payed 24 euro more each week on PAYE. Before I start making phone calls, is it just me? of has this increase been country wide.

The credits and rate bands did not alter from last year so its not a country wide problem. Has anything changed on your end? A second job? Increase in Pay? Did your tax credit cert show any changes from last years one?

I got a one euro raise 2 months ago.

I cant see how that could leave me with less? Surly there is a problem..

I dont have a Med card but went public with a recent medical procedure last week. Not sure that counts as it happened after.

It really all depends on your circumstances. You may wish to check with your payroll to see if anything's changed on their end in the last few weeks. Did you check your 2012 tax credit cert to see if anything has changed with your credits or rate band. Also is the 24 euro definitely PAYE and not a combination of USC, PRSI and PAYE.

Having a full medical card would have a bearing on the amount of USC you are charged.

We are now into week 5 of the new tax year , .- If you started the tax year on emergency tax , you would now be starting to pay additional tax .

Check your payslip to see whether your tax code is E - N - or W1
