whenever the washing machine or dishwasher fill valves switch, there seems to be a big pressure pulse travels up thro the mains water system.
On the previous Mira shower, it burst plastic parts regularly, so eventually i replaced it. I fitted a pressure regulator to the shower supply at the same time, and i noticed no more problems.
but recently the problem seems much worse and i can hear a loud thumps in the system, and the shower innards bulge alarmingly.

What can i do to sort this ?

mains water supply 7bar last time it was measured.

Try fitting a pressure reducing valve to the mains where it comes in to your property.
