"My favourite subject is maths." I have been trying to work this one out for ages but keep tripping over the fact that 'matemáticas' is plural. I'm stuck between: Mi asignatura favorita es las matemáticas or Mis asignaturas favoritas son las matemáticas or some amalgamation of the two. Help!

Mi asignatura favorita es las matemáticas
or
Mis asignaturas favoritas son las matemáticas
or some amalgamation of the two. Help!
