City: Hart, Lescott, Richards (c), Savic, Kolarov, Barry, Silva, Johnson, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko.

Subs: Pantilimon, Clichy, Zabaleta, de Jong, Milner, Pizarro, Rekik.

Kompany out with a knee injury so Savic starts :o

Smart money on a draw with Clint Dempsey scoring any time.

Fulham should just target Savic for the whole match.

Still see City winning this though.

Dempsey 4/1 to score any time. That's very nice.

What is he for first goalscorer? 7 or 8/1?
I think City's home form will prove too much, just like Utd's last season.
    2-1 City unfortunately.

Sorry, last time I post a team from a Twitter update.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Fulham got it wrong, their twitter listed Ruiz as starting and on the bench but they followed it up with that pic.

All good in the betting hood.

Don't like both teams being in light coloured shirts. Would never happen in the League of Ireland.

Think it was a penalty, but Johnson won it by making the contact himself.

Shocking dive from Johnson. Commentators going out of their way to defend him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,735 ✭✭✭Vincent Vega

snow falling off the net when he scored.
    nice effect.
should put it there for all the matches
    :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,270 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Wasn't really a dive, there was contact but it came about because Johnson kicked his leg out to make contact with Baird's. Refs should be wise to that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,334 ✭✭✭HalloweenJack

I thought the ball had got free of him and he was already stumbling over but Baird put his leg and there was contact so there can be no complaints. I wouldn't call it the most honest penalty, on Johnson's behalf, but there was clear contact.

    Dive by Johnson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

As seasons go by it takes less and less to get a penalty, and for commentators to utter the words 'there was a touch, therefore a penalty'. It was a dive by Johnson, no doubt. Unfortunately he just dived again as im typing this.

I know Etihad Stadium doesn't sell out the best of times but the weather will have had an effect on attendances this weekend.

I've only seen dzecko play 4-5 times this year, but he seems very out of place in that team. Slow, not a great touch, awareness isnt great. Dont see why Man city persist with him
